June 29 - A bit about NCYC...
North Cape Yacht Club is located on the shore of Western Lake Erie, nine miles north of the Ohio/Michigan border. We offer our members and their families an appealing clubhouse and facilities, including a deep-water harbor. The club’s small boat hoists, a boat ramp and large beachfront cater to the needs of skippers of all boat types. The channel entrance is at N41°49′40″, W83°24′31″.
NCYC is a “working club”, with an active membership composed primarily of sailors. The members provide most of the manpower (and womanpower) to maintain the facilities, prepare dinners, and to staff regattas and other entertainment functions.
NCYC has been host to several major one-design sailing events throughout the years including Lightning North Americans, Thistle and Interlake Nationals, the Bemis & Smythe Junior Sailing Championships, and multiple championship regattas for the Interlake, Highlander, J/105, Snipe, T-10, J35, and Finn classes.
Due to the high-quality spirit of volunteerism and support of sailing by our members, U.S. Sailing honored North Cape Yacht Club with the award of One-Design Yacht Club of the Year for 2011.

May 1 - Team Meeting
Team leaders made their reports and useful discussion ensued. Top news is everything is set for the racecourse and registrations are pouring in from sailors from many states, including Michigan. Chairmen are in place for each of the evening meals and music is planned. Each chairman is looking for helpers for his/her meal. A sample of each award was shown to those assembled and we all agree that our regatta chair and his wife make an excellent decision for this year's NACs. We continue to look for sponsors for the event. The next team meeting will be May 22 at 4PM.
